5 Things You Will Relate To If Your Husband Is A Foodie
Having a foodie husband is a boon. He is always ready to take you on a culinary journey and it’s an amazing experience. The only thing you might have to do is portion control and watch your weight. Having a foodie partner might also man piling up on the waistline but you can always try and taste food if you are a bit careful with portions. Having a foodie husband means he starts talking about the menu for dinner while he is having his lunch. We are sure you will be able to identify with these 5 points.
1. Gotta take a picture first!
You always think you are being ignored as he is busy clicking pictures of his and your food and is just not interested in clicking a couple picture. He basically enjoys food than your company, that could be your opinion. But don’t worry you are still important to him. Your foodie partner actually gets an adrenaline rush the moment he sees food. It’s like he’s getting ready for a bungee jump. People do click themselves on adventures, don’t they? It’s the same for them when it comes to food.
2. Loves to experiment with food
Not only is he fond of eating but also loves to try out all the good recipes. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, he has got your back. He even experiments with the weirdest food combinations which somehow turns super delicious! Yes, for him life is a culinary adventure and don’t be surprised if he becomes really excited seeing all the insects in Bangkok street or could be he has tried frogs and eels. He is ready to experiment with anything and if he can spot a fusion food restaurant then he is happiest. He would be the first to dive into the chilli ice cream and the nachos chaat.
3. Your foodie husband has made you a foodie
He loves food like there is nothing else better in the world and with him even you have started craving for food like he does. You could have been someone for whom a simple dal chawal would do and if that’s served to you every day you are cool with it. But once the wedding happened and your foodie husband walked into your life you cannot imagine having “just” dal chawal for lunch. Your taste buds crave for more and you spend more time in the kitchen tossing up and planning your meals. In fact, you enjoy this planning around food be it at home, on holidays, or on a date. Now you have become such a foodie if he is craving for lasagna, well, you are always totally on board!
4. Think of a date and it’s just a Food Date Night!
Your partner really doesn’t care for movie dates nor gets excited about any parties or concert. He will rather give you the option of dining out and spending time with food together. Spending time with food, really?? But with time you have come to love it too. Your husband actually researches on Zomato and draws up a wish list of restaurants and bars to visit. Then he takes you there. He is making the effort, albeit for food, but he is making the effort for a date with you nevertheless. And you appreciate that.
5. Savour the flavor
Savouring food means tasting the actual flavors before you swallow it. It is not pretentious at all because you have paid good money on your dish and doesn’t make sense if the food does not go sweetly in your pallet. Savour at least for a second! This is what your foodie guy tells you every time you eat in a hurry. Isn’t it? You cannot help but think then, “My husband loves food and now I love it too.” Thanks to his gourmet education you can talk about food and savour it with as much passion as he does. Thai, Rajasthani, Korean or Japanese you love all and you can actually name the dishes. Well that’s quite something. Having a foodie partner does have its perks. You do enjoy the company of your foodie partner and it is because of him, you have started looking at food as an art. You appreciate it now. You have even started having fun in the kitchen and experimenting with new dishes! So are you married to a foodie? How do you feel about it? Reply in the comment section below.
